Bocas del Toro, Panama

Some have called Bocas del Toro "Hawaii fifty years ago."  Panama calls it their "Crown Jewel".  When Christopher Columbus discovered these islands on his final voyage in 1512, he called it "Paraiso"  (Paradise).  Bocas del Toro is a group of tropical islands located in the Caribbean just of the coast of the Panama/Costa Rica border, 9 degrees north of the equator.  The climate is perfect because of the cool breezes that caress the seas and islands which make up the archipelago.  Clear turquoise waters that average 86F grace the shores of its nine large islands and more than 200 islets.  The atmosphere in Bocas is incredibly relaxing - so much so that the local motto is "tranquillo".   Until you personally experience the funky romantic charm that infects everyone who visits the islands, you will never know the feeling of a truly fulfilling vacation experience.  Its easy to see why, once you come and enjoy the mild tropical climate, the uncrowded beaches, the pristine rain forests, the barely-explored coral reefs and the exotic nightlife.  More than a dozen countries have filmed their Survivor episodes in Bocas World-class fishing, sailing and surfing are all available in Bocas.  You will also find an abundance of local Caribbean arts and crafts if your 'sport' is shopping for unique collectibles and souvenirs.  The fresh food is absolutely delicious since it is prepared fresh daily from the sea, the local farms and from the nearby tropical fruit plantations.  We invite you to take one of our Discovery Tours of American-friendly Panama and Bocas del Toro so you can see for yourself why so many world-travelers are now calling these islands their favorite vacation destination.
